Some may uninstall Firefox to upgrade it or some of the users who have been using Internet Explorer for many years many just install Firefox to have a try on it and they like to switch back Internet Explorer so they need to uninstall it.

When you install any software it creates many entries in your system but all the entries do not get erased when you uninstall those software’s. In fact it is very difficult to find all those entries.

If you perform the steps below you can completely remove all the entries of Firefox in your system:

How To Uninstall Firefox Completely , If you are using Windows XP:

1) First Uninstall Firefox through “Add/Remove Programs” in the “Control Panel” as you normally do.

2) To remove bookmarks and other settings of Firefox, you have to delete the folder named “Firefox” from the folders “Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Mozilla in Windows XP”.

3) Delete the folder where you have installed the Firefox, by default it is installed in the path C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\

4) Now you have to delete the registry entries. It has to be done with care.
Launch the “Registry Editor”(Start–>Run–>Regedit) and search for all the entries containing the text Firefox or Mozilla and delete them. Generally you will find

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\FirefoxHTML]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MozillaPlugins]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MozillaPlugins]

How To Uninstall Firefox Completely , If You are using Windows VISTA:

1) First Uninstall Firefox through “Programs & Features”.

2) To remove bookmarks and other settings of Firefox, you have to delete the folder named “Firefox” from the folders “\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Mozilla” and “\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\”

3) Delete the folder where you have installed the Firefox, by default it is installed in the path C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\

4) Now you have to delete registry entries. It has to be done with care.

we can also use My Uninstaller to remove any software completely :)
